Mike Celebrates 10 years With Clayton

Our tech hits the 10 year mark!

Originally from Demold, Germany, Mike proudly served 9 years in the United States Marine Corps. His time in the military and after gave him the opportunity to travel the world- something he takes great pride in, having visited all seven continents, an experience not many people can say they've had.

Mike comes from a strong military family, with relatives who have served in every branch of the armed forces- even the newest branch, the Space Force.

When asked who influenced him most on the job, mike credits Clayton Homes itself. The company's commitment to hard work, quality, and perseverance has shaped the way he approaches every project. His personal motto has always been: "Do the job right the first time"
Mike believes in getting it done correctly so there are no return trips and no shortcuts, something that has helped him succeed over the past decade.

Interestingly, Mike's connection to the industry goes back even further. In 1993, he was already hauling wide- load homes across highways all over the United States. Over the years, he grew into a lead role in the delivery and setup of home, bringing decades of hands-on experience to the job.

For Mike, the best part of the job is customer satisfaction. There is nothing quite like seeing the excitement on a family's face during the "Welcome Home" presentation, when they step into their new home for the first time. He also enjoys meeting people from all walks of life along the way.

With over 30 years in the construction field, both in the United States and overseas, the work truly runs in his blood.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys staying active and spending time doing what he lives. His hobbies include sports, cooking and baking, fishing, hunting, and football.
